I have a confession. I don’t tend to like contemporary Young Adult/ New Adult literature. Probably because it tends to have, in my opinion, weak, whiny, shallow female characters. Gag. Even worse, characters focused on hook-up culture. Double gag. Or characters who think finding the hottest guy is like, OMG, the most important thing in life. Gag to infinity.
