In light of what has happened today in Japan, I feel Fashion Friday is inappropriate. I’ll probably post what I’m working on on Tuesday, but that is pure frivolous, insignificant minutiae.

I’m glued to CNN as this horrific event unfolds and my heart is breaking for these people and this country. I can’t imagine the terror and fear  in the hearts of the Japanese people and for those with loved ones in Japan, but my heart and my prayers go out for anyone affected.

I have too many thoughts and prayers racing through my head and my heart. I want to help and feel so powerless except for my feeble, yet earnest, prayers. I wish everyone the best and want anyone out there to know that I love them, I care for them, I pray for them.

I am powerless, but I know there is strength in the word of the Lord.

Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 20:1
May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

Psalm 41:1-3
Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble. The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes. The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed

Psalm 121:1-8
I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you—the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Love to you all.
